I just can't get over the fact that Rowan, my BABY, will be four in just a few days. But then I notice that she talks like a four-year-old, acts like a four-year-old, and more and more she is learning like a four-year-old. She was ready to make the move to the next room at Imagination Station, and a few weeks ago we were informed that this past week would be her transition week. She was movin' on up from Trestle to Union!
Each day this week, she spent a little more time in the Union Pacific classroom, and Friday was her first full day as a Union kid! This picture makes it look like she had the time of her life, but actually, she cried for much of the morning. :( It was our first rough drop-off of the entire year. Change can be exciting, but also hard!
She must have really worn herself out, because she took a long nap (she never takes naps), and thankfully she woke up happy and had an awesome afternoon. She excitedly told me how she and Holly played with unicorns, horses, princesses, and a castle after nap....new toys in a new room!
She'll be great in Union! It's much more academic-based than her last room, and the teachers seem fantastic. We are looking forward to watching her continue to grow and learn in this new environment!
One of the things I LOVE about IMS is that I often see these sweet notes on the whiteboards outside the classrooms. They find such loving ways to send their little ones off to the next rooms. Rowan's Trestle teachers, Miss Stephanie and Miss Leah, are wonderful. We will miss them!!
We're so proud of our girl! Hello, Union Pacific!!
