Sloothaak Christmas 2012

We started our Christmas celebrations last Saturday with our Sloothaak party.  Rowan was still a bit under the weather, but the rest of us were finally beginning to feel healthy again after a long week of sicknesses, and we were looking forward to the fun that John's parents had planned for us!

Our family photo by the Christmas tree!  A Christmas tradition!

And the one of the grandkids...love this group of kids!

We started with a craft and games for the kids.  This year, they made cute little snowflake ornaments using white buttons.

I still felt nervous to hold Charlie with my cold, but John got some snuggle time with him!  Such a sweet little guy!

Sisters!

After dinner, we headed downstairs for trivia and concentration (love the fun games at this party!), and then it was time to open gifts.  Rowan was having fun with some of the prizes she had won earlier.

Trey and Riley sang the Michigan fight song for us before we opened gifts.  So festive! ;)

We love to watch the kids open their gifts.  And they love seeing what everyone else gets too!

Hee hee!  Charlie seemed like a perfect fit in Maddie's new jeep!  Too funny!

Riley had Trey's name and got him a bey blade and some other fun things.  Bey blades were at the tippy-top of Trey's list this year.  They were new to me, but he sure LOVES them!

And Maddie gave Rowan this Minnie Mouse set and a few other things as well.  Rowan LOVES Minnie, and she has had lots of fun with this already!

We had such a great time celebrating Christmas with the Sloothaaks!  The rest of our holiday was pretty quiet (which was wonderful!), but we always cherish our time with our families!
