Yesterday we had so much fun during our small group Christmas party. Actually, it was bowling and {kid-free} dinner. It was such a fun way to spend our day, with friends we love, doing something so fun!
Oh, and did I mention that we wore ugly sweaters???
Now that was fun. :)
Even the kids got in on the fun -- they all looked precious! (even though Rowan looks a little bit crazy in this photo! hee hee)
This was Rowan's first time bowling and she loved it! (Notice her braid? She has been very into braids lately and wants a braid in her hair every day. So cute!)
She had so much fun exploring all of the fun parts of the bowling alley -- sometimes wandering a bit too far away from the group. She loved checking out the "ball machine" and commenting on the different colored balls!
Trey had been bowling a few times before, and he did great all on his own. He loved keeping track of his score, and was very competitive! He wanted to beat Skyla and Kobe!
Exploring!
The little dinosaur ball roller thing was cute and perfect for Rowan (and Malechi!). She liked choosing her own ball and rolling it down all on her own. Big girl!
Do you notice that Trey's ball is off the ground? Yes, he threw it every time! Funny!
And then if it was a good one, he would dance all the way back. A different dance every time!
Just had to get a pic of the hubs in a {slightly} too small sweater. He was a good sport!
The group! We are so thankful for these friends - we laugh together, we grow together, and we support each other! They are a gift to us!
But, seriously....these sweaters??? We were laughing about them all night.
John and Scott have been friends since junior high! I had to get a picture of them both in their turtlenecks. John kept complaining that he was suffocating. :) He changed into a t-shirt for dinner.
And a quick family pic before we left. Rockin' the turtlenecks!
We had dinner at Thai Palace, which was delicious, while the kids hung out at Mike and Lee's for pizza and playtime with a babysitter.
Nothing says Christmas like ugly sweaters! We had a blast!

Oh, this is just AWESOME! Especially John!! My favorite for sure! Where did you find the sweaters? Your family photo is awesome! You should frame that in a cheesy Christmas frame and put it out at Christmas each year!
I love that your kids wore ugly sweaters, too! Where did you find kid-sized ones?!?
Jill, great sweater! You can never go wrong with faux dalmations! Sounds like a great evening. I hope you have a great Christmas with your family.

Jen, we found all of our sweaters and turtlenecks at the Bibles for Mexico thrift store in Holland. That is my FAVORITE thrift store! So many treasures!!
